I have learned that one of the everlasting elements in
our life is family. That is why themes of family and
relationships are intertwined throughout my work. I often
wish I were a fly on the wall so that I could witness the
lives of people I've only seen in photos.
My curiosity was ignited my first year of college, at the
Cooper Union, NYC, when my mother moved out of the
house where I was raised. She found hundreds of photos
she had never gone through when my grandfather died.
Now that I have a family of my own, my work continues
to reflect the good, bad, and awkward moments that
occur no matter what stage of life.
